Acceptable Use Policy

ShopEspress is a peer-to-peer marketplace connecting verified students. By listing, buying, or otherwise using ShopEspress, you agree to the following rules.
1. Who Can Use ShopEspress
- You must be a currently enrolled student with a valid, verified student email address.
- Vendors must complete identity verification (student email + TradeSafe payout setup with valid bank details) before listing.
2. Prohibited Items and Services
The following may never be listed, sold, or offered on ShopEspress:
- Completed assignments, essays, projects, or exam answers offered for submission as another student's own work
- Any item or service that facilitates academic dishonesty, plagiarism, or violates your university's code of conduct
- Illegal goods or services, including counterfeit items, stolen property, weapons, drugs, or restricted substances
- Alcohol or tobacco products (unless permitted by law and university policy, and only to verified persons of legal age)
- Adult content or services
- Any item requiring a license the seller does not hold (e.g. certain electronics, medical devices)
Permitted: textbooks, electronics, clothing, stationery, tutoring/exam-prep services (helping a student learn — not producing work for submission), courier/delivery help, and repairs.
3. Vendor Responsibilities
- Provide accurate descriptions, photos, and pricing for all listings.
- Only list items you have the legal right to sell.
- Honor the price and condition described in your listing.
- Respond to buyer messages and disputes in good faith.
4. Buyer Responsibilities
- Inspect items at the point of exchange before confirming receipt where possible.
- Report any listing or vendor that violates this policy.
5. Enforcement
ShopEspress may remove listings, suspend, or permanently ban any account that violates this policy, and may report illegal activity to university authorities or law enforcement where required.
